If visiting the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk and wanting a fantastic pizza within walking distance where the cheese is piled on along with fresh meats and fresh vegetables this is definitely the place to go. We have been going here for years and have never been disappointed. The food is fantastic and the prices reasonable. The patio makes for a great place to relax and enjoy lunch or dinner while watching the ocean.

This hole in the wall cafe is a great deal and a nice break from theme park food. Burgers, pizzas and chicken sandwiches are very good and the staff is friendly.

It was a beautiful, hot day for some beach fun! What better to drive all the way to boardwalk for clean waters and dog feces free sands! Two hour drive and I was hungry! So, boyfriend and I walked in the intense heat (we come from foggy sf) and found this open air restaurant! The mushroom burger was good and they added jalapenos for me. Thanks! He had the hot dog. Fries and onion rings were good too. Service was friendly and prompt. The orange buggy was cute and had good fashion sense (mohawk). I kid you not. It was a great start to an awesome day!

I ate here today with a group after playing volleyball across the street. The patio was a major plus given the awesome weather. The pizza was as good as any other places in west side Santa Cruz, except for one exception. It was reasonably priced. We got 3 9 inch pizzas for for our group, and that was plenty. Each 9 inch pizza only cost about $6-7, and they take credit cards. The pizzas take a little while to come out, but at least they are not getting shuffled out from siting under a heat lamp for 3 hours. To summarize, cheap, tasty, out door seating, beach view.

I am not sure what has happened since the previous reviews, but they certainly have their act together as a pizza joint. This location is directly across the street from the Boardwalk. Its attached to Boardwalk Bowl. You'd expect a place that looks like a dive to possibly be one. We've ordered a half dozen pizzas from here in the last year and a half and they have all consistently been a "5." Their pizzas are huge, the toppings are fresh, they have a great balance of sauce and ingredients that are topped on. My fave is the Hawaiian pizza (pineapple and canadian bacon - and then I add mushrooms). We're a family of 4 (2 children) and we can easily get two meals out of the large size pizza. The last time my husband ordered a pizza there to go, the manager felt he had waited too long. Too long? It had been about 20 minutes. That's what we consider a short to average wait for a pizza. The manager INSISTED on comping the pizza. I quizzed my husband repeatedly, "Did you complain? What did you say? Did you look at someone wrong or roll your eyes?" He swears he was innocently waiting for the pizza....so kudos for the manager....we got a free pizza and they have a customer for life. Yes, the pizza really is that good. Try it out.
